Piano Comics free Activity Pages for Minor Scales with the same fingering as c-major
Piano Comics presents 5 Activity Pages for 5 minor scales that have the same fingering as c-major:
a-minor, e-minor, d-minor, g-minor, c-minor.
Each page is dedicated to a specific hero and exercise for the scale.
- Fusha : Food for thought… The 1st Activity page has to do with music theory ( examples: What do we call relative, parallel scales? What is a key signature and what is an accidental? What are the 3 types of minor? etc.). This page has also questions for the students to answer.
- Goliath : Action! The 2nd Activity page suggests various ways of practising a scale ( examples: different time signatures, articulations, fingering etc.).
- Spiky : I’m feeling… The 3rd Activity page introduces innovative approaches to playing the scale ( examples: different dynamics, tempos, careful touche, easy fingering and polyphonic melodies etc.).
- Webeh : Work smarter, not harder. The 4th Activity page gives alternative perspectives to the student through multi-dimentional exercises such as prima vista, composing, transpositions etc. This page presents the exercises in an unfinished way so that the students complete them.
- BTB : Let’s wrap it up. The 5th and last Activity page completes the whole minor scale with all its’ elements such as arpeggios, chords, chromatic scales and each time it tackles one of those elements as to how to play them more effectively, faster, easier, explaining logic behind fingering etc.
All these pages were created for our students to give ideas, suggestions and hopefully fresh perspectives on music theory, pianistic skills and other musical elements, all of which are a daily pedagogical task in our piano lessons. You can use these Activity Pages any way you feel like they could help your students by adjusting, changing, adding, completing any exercise or question to tailor them to your student’s needs.
Make scales fun and interesting. They are one of the most important bases for any musician’s craftsmanship.

Joey
Hi, the c minor activity pages seem missing, or did I missed them out in somewhere else? Thank you.
