Introduce 6 composers to your piano beginners by Piano Comics

This post is about the last -5th- chapter of my latest product ‘Workbook Sheet Music’ for piano beginners. It introduces 6 composers to students with 2 of their well known pieces transcribed for late beginners and early elementary levels. The composers are: J.S.Bach, W.A.Mozart, L.V.Beethoven, F.Chopin, P.I.Tchaikovsky and  B.Bartok.

Through these musical excerpts I want young kids ( this material is used even by preschoolers as young as 4) to get in contact with some important and personally favorite composers that represent different styles, genres, harmonic languages and structures. The pieces can be played by the teacher or a more decisive and diligent late beginner student.

Each composer gets 3 pages: in the 1st one he introduces himself to one of the heroes of Piano Comics plus sharing 1 fun fact, in the 2nd and 3rd page you’ll find his 2 pieces.

The pieces are:

J.S. Bach – ‘Musette’ & ‘Cantata n.147’

W.A.Mozart – ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik’ & ‘Lacrimosa’

L.V.Beethoven – ‘Piano sonata n.8’ & ‘Piano concerto n.3’

F.Chopin – ‘Grande Valse Brillante’ & ‘Nocturne’

P.I.Tchaikovsky – ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ & ‘June-Barcarolle’

B.Bartok – ‘Romanian dance’ & ‘Hungarian folk song’

Here you can get the ‘Workbook Sheet Music’ by Piano Comics and here download the 6 free samples representing all 5 chapters. This material is digital and was made to complement music theory with basic piano skills with any method through a humoristic, light but effective long-term way.

You can also watch videos of students using this material here.
