Piano Comics ‘Slender Ballerina’ piano for preschoolers
This is a new piece for preschoolers learning piano and you can find it for free at the end of this post. You can choose which bars your young student can play (doesn’t have to be the whole piece). My students have tried the ‘crowd is clapping in the arena’ from g to g key going down with 2 fingers and ‘best arms in the’ playing with flat fingers imitating the tentacles of an octopus.
If you want to try an alternative piano teaching method for young beginners get the book (digital form) ‘Piano method for beginners’ by Piano Comics for ages 5-12. Piano Comics uses humour and rhythm of speech as learning tools. 54 pieces divided into 4 chapters that stack up basic music principles explained in a simple, short and funny way with everyday examples. Heavy, scientific and long texts are absent in this material. The scores are wide and large with illustrations of the 5 heroes and their adventures. 6 free samples available here and the 20% discount still applies!!
