‘The Magic Shark’ a song for preschoolers about coordination of finger counting by Piano Comics
I have a 4 year old student that loves sharks. So I transcribed the song ‘5 fingers’ to ‘The Magic Shark’ so that he can concentrate and play with it. The original song is from a very creative educator I found on tik tok, she has all the social channels, here is her instagram: @lenas_little_ones_daycare . Chech it out, both teachers and parents can find very easy, funny, educational songs, rhymes and more to play with your students and children.
‘The Magic Shark’ worked! It is so interesting to watch how a little person is starting to control for the first time his hand/finger movements, gestures. How they try to isolate specific fingers not to move while others stretch with all the little bones, joints and muscles they have. Plus the rhymes are contagious, easy to remember and interesting to sing because they tell a short story where all the numbers (1,2,3,4,5 fingers) are connected from one sea animal to the other.
Here you can watch and listen to the song.
Try it in your piano or music classroom, especially with younger ages (3-6).
